We honor Veterans on November 11th which is officially Veterans Day. On this day, Veterans will enjoy discounts and other freebies to thank them for serving our country in the military. If you are a military bride, don't miss out on these giveaways specifically for you.
Although I have never really enjoyed Alfred Angelo as a designer, they have gained my respect with #OperationGownGiveaway. On Nov. 11, Veterans Day, the 62 stores of the Alfred Angelo dress chain will host Operation Gown Giveaway for female active-duty military personnel. Leo Benoit, a Vietnam War veteran who is the chain’s vice president for retail operations, knew that something needed to be done to assist Veteran brides who experience complicated situations like unexpected deployments.
What is Operation Gown Giveaway? Alfred Angelo Signature Stores are saluting Veterans by letting Veteran brides select a free sample gown from a 2014 and 2015 collection of gowns ranging from $1,000 to $1,200. Appointments have to be made for Wednesday, November 11th, proper military and photo id must be shown, and supplies are limited.
Blanc Bride Salute
La Vie En Blanc, a two-year-old bridal consignment boutique in Miami, Florida, is also saluting military brides this year. Their promotion, Blanc Bride Salute, is a gown and accessory giveaway valued at up to $3,000. Brides must be active military personnel or be marrying the equivalent, and can enter between November 11 to 25. The winner will be announced in December.
Karen Bussen, a New York wedding planner, is picking one lucky Veteran couple a chance to win a free wedding planning lunch and consultation with her. Karen started her wedding planning business in 2000 and has been featured on The Today Show, LX-New York, Bloomberg TV, the CBS Early Show, and Martha Stewart’s Morning Living on Sirius XM Radio.
How do I submit my chance to win? Tweet her (@karenbussen) your love story using the hashtag #VeteransLove. She will announcing the winner at 6:00pm EST on Veterans Day so I suggest submitting no later than Wednesday at 12:00pm EST.
